Tinworks Art is a non-profit art space in Bozeman, Montana. Tinworks connects artists and community through inclusive art experiences in non-traditional spaces, designed to welcome everyone. Tinworks is free to all.
Open Thursday through Sunday, 10am–6pm.
Through a regional regranting partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Tinworks Art has established the Beyond the Mountains Fund, a grant program committed to elevating Montana-based artists whose work and practices may fall outside of traditional funding channels.
We are thrilled to announce the opening of Tinworks’ Mill Building! The year-long restoration project preserves key historical features of the original grain storage building, including the original interior crib wall and exterior grain chute — honoring the site’s agricultural past while repurposing the building in service to art.
The new Mill Building will enable Tinworks to present exhibitions year-round. Chisel & Razor, Act II inaugurates the space, continuing to celebrate the legacies of Edmonia and Samuel Lewis and Bozeman’s vibrant past.

Tinworks also thanks VIA Art Fund for the production and exhibition of Edmonia Triumphalis by Auriea Harvey, and the Vilcek Foundation for their support of Sunflowers, to follow the wheat by Agnes Denes, an ongoing ecological intervention in Tinworks’ field. Additional support is provided by coal tax revenues allocated to Montana’s Cultural and Aesthetic Projects Trust Fund.
